also another writing note:

I wish my brain had spell check. That seems completely stupid to say (especially since I said this was a writing note) BUT I frequently get the prefixes of words incorrect and it bothers me. 

I attribute this to the descriptivists (which i usually am with the except of the word irregardless, which I will never except as a true word) of language and the idle hands of those at the OED (you know who you are). I’d also like to give part of the blame to the lack of grammar teaching in schools (which is actually blame towards Harper for providing nothing to schools and teachers), and reality television for promoting a culture of terrible word usage. Also blame towards the English language for constructing its rules largely upon the idea of ‘what sounds better?’
