taking a break from homework.

I am taking this class in advanced business writing, but really it should be called:

“how to write better because the Ontario/Canadian public school system is a joke and taught you everything wrong. Like remember when they taught you about the Bohr model in chemistry and it was completely and totally proven incorrect, yet they still taught it?! So anyways, abandon all you know about five-paragraph writing systems and grammar, but they did it and wrong and take this class because it talk about HOW to write and your process as opposed to how to fake it until your product becomes somewhat like the mundane garbage you are supposed to spit out. I mean in university, did you ever look at the paper if you got a good grade and ask why? probably not. or if you got a bad grade did the teacher ever work with you or did they just tell you your phrasing was awkward. yea. so take this class and learn how to think.”

seriously. that would be the whole title. I have been in this class not even a week and it has already changed the way I not only write but also view my writing. It seems so simple too, that I feel dumb, but it emphasizes not being overly critical either! i think this class will be good on my self-esteem, because lord knows that shit gets bashed and beaten all the time that mama could use a little help in that department.

anyways, my point? well i did some free-writing and my hand hurts. I am also trying to get away from using the computer so much because i think it is slowly turning me into a zombie. and not the good kind (bill murray). it also is a different feel and style when i write by hand, i feel like different thoughts come out because i cannot write as fast as i type. is that dumb or hokey?
